How to Get Business from Forums?
It is very simple as a matter of fact, but you need to think out of the box.
I see most of the people make same mistakes.
They join the forum and then they immediately create one or few sales threads at BST section, expecting sales to start pouring in.
This is not working and never will!
What I like to do is to put myself into the buyers shoes,
let’s say you are the buyer and you are browsing this forum in search of some service/product and you see some sales threads from members having 1-10 posts with no itrader feedback, no thanks, no reps, etc…
Would you buy something from that member? Yes, that’s right… and this is the whole point!
So in order for you to have success with you sales threads and your business here, you need to prove yourself to be trustworthy, helpful, honest, valuable member in the community. How to do that? When you join the forum try to be part of the community, communicate with other members by replying to threads or by opening interesting discussions in new threads, share helpful stuff with other members, try to help others with their problems, etc… This way you will raise your post count, thanks, reps, trust, etc and you will become valuable member of this community from whom everyone would like to buy product or service.
How to jump start your sales thread?
OK, let’s we assume that you have followed my tips from above and you are now ready to start your sales thread at IMT.
In order for you to see some activity in your new sales thread it would be wise to offer some kind of reviews, like free reviews or some kind of nice discounts to few trusted members around here in exchange for their honest reviews.
This is simply great way to jump start your thread with some nice positive feedback from trusted members and to create that social proof buyers are searching for.
