Free hosting is not recomended for any professional web masters. But if want to test your skills and test your script then free hosting is fine. But when you are going to run a real site for real visitors then free hosting provider will give you a lot of pain

There are good free hosting sites and cheap hosting sites. You just need to find the right one. Also you have host the right sites too. Don’t expect you can host a forum or big blog or joomla site. Also don’t expect too much. If you don’t have money to pay for hosting or if you are still new to this and don’t want to pay money for hosting then free hosting would be great. Also when you have lots of small static sites and you want to spread them through different geo locations and IPs.
and No faster loading time won’t guarantee you higher SERPS. If it’s true then everyone will forget about SEO and just rent ultra fast servers.
Free hosting has its uses but not at all sensible for your money site. You do not have control of it and it might disappear or your account might be banned.
